However, a preliminary update, when I system restore to a week ago (the day I uninstalled NAV), my system is fine. The only problem is that it says it cannot recover some of my personal account data (things like Firefox passwords and favorite, wallpaper, shortcuts, some programs arent installed, etc). I guess I just find it hard to believe that the day I uninstall NAV I get a virus, when I've had no warnings or anything in my NAV log at all when it WAS installed.

I do have my windows installation disks, but would a windows reinstall cause me to lose a lot of things? Also I have no firewall to speak of, I've been on a college network that has a school firewall. The XP firewall caused more problems than it was worth i thought :)

In any case, thanks for the replies guys, and I'll get on that info ASAP.
