have you tried using battery or AC adapter alone? if this do not work, try to strip the machine down to the basics (remove CD drive, remove HDD, remove WiFi card if there is one but leave the RAM). power ON as normal and see if you get anything on screen while it POSTs. of course this will end in error but at least it was able to power up without doing the power ON+F12 combination.
