so basically your problem is whether with battery or no battery, you do not get anything on screen when you power ON, am i correct? by the way, i am not familiar with the combination PowerON + F12 keys... can you give some info on this?

anyhow try this:
1. remove battery and AC adapter
2. press power ON button for 30 secs. or so (more is good)
3. release and attach battery and AC adapter
4. power ON as normal.

try these steps and observe if you get any signs of life (i.e. screen, fans running, etc.). if fans are running and LEDs come up, hook up your laptop with an external monitor.
