I can't get in touch with them till next week so I am trying to solve this problem on my own....

The laptop has an internal wireless card(complete with on/off switch on the side), but it has been disabled.

I have admin rights on the machine but I cannot get the card re-enabled...

Any ideas?

I do not have the Wireless Network Connections under the Network Connections in Control panel.

If I look in device management the wireless card does not show up.(just the LAN and 1394 card.

I jumped into the registry and the folder under local machine/system/currentcontrolset/services/control/network - shows the same, LAN and 1394....

everything is enabled corrrectly in the BIOS, but under device info it shows "none" for the wi-fi device.....

I am very confused....

Anyone ever hear of a laptop having a switch but no wifi card??? -- AFAIK this is possible. The wifi card can be removed like how you remove a RAM module. The switch is (IMHO) is on the casing and in a way physically independent of the wifi card.
