Just because WinXP is being replaced, that doesn't mean you HAVE to have it. I'm sticking with my XP Pro, at least until the new 'Win 7' comes out. I'll see what that's like before I consider downgrading my XP. The web's grapevine suggests XP support could extend to 2012 or even 2014.

I'm wondering though, will MS supply a patch to remove the Windows Activation, when support does finally end???

Anyone having to re-install their OS will only have it for 30 days before the activation nag kicks in
