What is your local IP address, specifically does it start with 169.254.xxx.xxx? If you are in fact connected to the router, it should apply a local IP address through a built in DHCP server. If you are recieving the IP address, then I would check for a firewall that could be blocking traffic.
If you haven't already, you might consider resetting your modem, router, and pc. After powering them all off, power on the modem first, wait a couple minutes, then power on the router, wait a couple more minutes, then power on the PC (this works for wired routers, but it could have a similar affect on a wireless one).
Wireless networking is a bit of a weakspot for me, I will see if I can get Johnwill over here as he is pretty much amazing when it comes to network connections.
