100% signal, can't connect
Hi, I am having a problem connecting a wireless network. About 2-3 years ago I was using wireless networks left and right without issues. My laptop has an internet card that worked just fine, but now it can't locate any networks. So I've bought a netgear USB 2.0 adapter and it would have 60% signal but would not be able to connect, or it say it's connected (acquiring address) and then drop all together. So I thought it was a bad adapter because it did same thing on my friend's laptop and his other one didn't do that.
I bought Linksys adapter and it gives me 100% signal, yet same problem occures. I can connect through a wire just fine, but wireless is giving me issues. It wold just keep trying to connect and then disconnect and all over again. Two other people are able to connect to that netgear router just fine.
I use Windows XP Home (and my PCI Modem has no drivers if that does anything? I can't find the driver for it... but it would only affect 56k... right?)
