Hi hakbab, you don't mention what brand or model your drive is, internal or external. If internal I would first check the cable and the jumper location if it has one, if you have a new 80 wire ribbon put it in and try it. For external try another cable and make sure it is powering on. Next would be to run the manufacturers diagnostic software from DOS. Mike
