CPU Won't Boot

Two hours ago, my computer was fine. Drove to the airport and back and found the screen displaying the beginnings of the bios page -- listed the bios info and processor info, and at the bottom of the screen was the "Press DEL to enter setup" message. The middle of the screen was completely blank. Pressing DEL will not do anything.

Second computer in this room is working fine (thankfully).

I put in my Windows XP Pro disk and tried to boot up with that, but reached the above-described partial bios page.that hangs.

I turned the thing off and pulled, then replaced my RAM stick. Rebooted. Now the monitor is not getting a signal at all. I checked all cable connections and no change.

CPU fan flying, hard drive light on, but nothing.

I have an AMD Athlon 1150MHz F?? 200
Phoenix AwardBIOS v.6.00p6
DDR 512K
AGP EP-8K9A7I motherboard

Any of your thoughts would be DEEPLY appreciated. Murphy slapped me soundly this morning, as (of course) I have a hot project now dead in the water.
