OS: Windows XP and Linux Ubuntu

SATA Drive Won't Boot XP or Linux

I have a dual-boot setup of XP and Linux Ubuntu on my computer and neither will boot. I suspect the hard drive because I can run Ubuntu Live from the disk. My SATA drive is a Seagate Barracude and I have an ASUS a7n8x deluxe. I don't know what the best thing to do in order to still get my data back. I rarely use the Linux boot, just wanted to try Linux, so all my data is in Windows. Should I try reinstalling Linux and see if I can get to my Windows data from there? I really just need to make sure I can get everything off of the drive and I don't know the best way to do this.

Thanks
