Let's try to use the Repair function, and see how that goes.

Go to Start -> Control Panel -> Network Connections (classic view), or Network and Internet Connections to Network Connections (category view). Highlight the connection which requires the repair, right-click and select Repair.

Let us know if the repair worked. If it didn't, please give the error it spits out.
