Re: Unknown Problem, little help here.
Start off with an absolute minimum .. now that you're pretty sure the floppy is duff , dump it .. a new one will only cost a few bucks anyway ..
like I said earlier .. NO CPU and hooking up the power will allow the power on / off circuit to be checked ..
Add CPU plus Cooler ( if it's AMD I don't know how long it will last without one .. Intel used to throttle down if it got too warm but my advice is NEVER run a CPU without cooling)
anyway CPU + cooling plus speaker .. should power on and whistle that it has no memory,
Power Off and add memory .. should now whistle that it has no VGA when powered on.
Add VGA + Monitor .. should run through the post routine .. then add your stuiff one by one from there
