yeah i tried the motherboard outside the case as well, i made doubly sure that i hooked the power up correctly.. the power supply is a modular 700 watt Ultra, so I dont think it wouldnt be getting not enough power.. ive tried running the new motherboard without anything entirely in it.. cept a processor and ram and video card... nothing else at all hooked up to it.. and it still refuses to post at all.
