Unlimited internet with router? Curious.
Hey. I'm new. Thanks for having me. :) I'm not the best or smartest when it comes to computing, so excuse me.
So, here goes it.
I had a broadband connection, and connected my WRT54G (1.1) Linksys router to my modem so I could use my PS3 online. Since that time my ISP has disconnected my service. ..and I'm still getting unlimited internet.
The DSL on my router is still lit up, and everything seems to be working fine.
I don't live in a "wi-fi city", (yet.) I know there are a few, now.
Also, when I try to log onto my IP address, (If that makes sense, don't know how to word it.) I'm supposed to leave it blank as the user name, and put 'admin' as the password, and this doesn't work.
So, anyone have any ideas how this is working...? Where the connection is coming from, or how I can figure it out myself?
Any help is appreciated.
Love the forums, btw. :)
