depends upon why the other PC stopped booting, whether it was mobo probs or hard drive.
Why don't you download the hard drive diagnostics from Western digital and check it out. If the diagnostics give it a clean bill of health, do a nuke & boot or killdisk and use it until you need to get a larger disk or can afford a new drive .. it might seem small by todays standards but it's a good size to use for a boot disk or even as a back up for your new system
