wireless connection

Hi there!
This is my first posting ever so excuse if I overlook protocol. The problem we have here at work is one of our wireless PC's [win xp with sp2] does not connect to internet after I reinstalled win xp two weeks ago. The icon at bottom right of screen says I has limited or no connectivity though signal strength to DLINK router/modem is excellent. When I click on the icon and bring up wireless network connection status it says "This problem occured because the network did not assign a network address to the computer". The wireless pc next to it [they use ASUS] works fine. A wireless laptop works fine. Another PC next to DLINK router which is wired to it works fine. I have tried everything that I know! What next?
