I'm trying to replace the hard drive in my Dell Demension 8400 with a Western Digital WD5000AAJS. I've physically installed the drive in the PC but when I try to boot from the "Reinstallation CD" that came with the PC I get an error stating "cannot find hard drive". The new drive is detected in "setup" as disk0 with the correct size and ID information. The new drive did not come with any installation software. I downloaded something called "Data Lifeguad Tools" from Western Digital but when I try booting from that then I get an error stating "no operating system found". I'm not sure what to do at this point.........
