Re: Computer Build running slow

After my computer has been sitting turned off for awhile (6+ hours), and I start it and immediately go into BIOS, the temperatures starts at around 35-37 C... does a CPU heat up from room temperatures that quickly, The inside of the case when I start up the computer is 25 C or less... I guess my question is, can a CPU heat up 12 C in 15 seconds... obviously unless my temperatures reading is messed up it can... I would just like to make sure that nothing is wrong with the temperature reading (even though it is probably very unlikely) before I invest in another CPU fan... Now after my third attempt at installing the CPU Fan the temps are around 45 C under idle conditions...

So after 3 tries at installing the fan the temperature has always been between about 45 and 50 C. Either I can't follow simple directions or there has got to be something else wrong... (The third time I followed the directions posted earlier exactly and that gave me the best results about 5 C cooler but that is still to hot I think...)
