ok made some progress.

it now staes on with the ram in dimm1. i believe one of the ram chips was faultee.

I still have no beeps and noting on the monitor.

the mobo has some lights on it that now sae C1 instead of a number like 92 or 99. I read the manual and it saas when it has a C1 on the lights that it is performing a "memoree presence test" and when it passes the light will change. it hasn't changed.

i tired moving the ram to different places and it does the same thing.

Ogh there aree little nubs that I havce to screw in before puttinbg in the mother board
