Ok so I’m attempting to build a new computer.

I have an Abit IP35 Pro motherboard and a power supply has a max voltage of 500 watts. The motherboard needs a minimum of 400 watts to run.

I have stripped it down to just the motherboard and psu. The psu’s fan will spin for 16 or so seconds then stop.

I am sure that I have everything plugged in correctly. I originally thought that it was a bad motherboard, so I replaced it and the problem is consistent.I have also plugged the psu into a test computer and it ran fine...

I have also put in another processor chip and the same problem occurs. I am lost on what to do next.

Also popped the cmos batter out and set the jumper to 2-3 and back to 1-2 where it originally was

I am hoping one of u can help me. If u need additional info please let me know.
