Connection speed

At one time, I realized that I was not receiving the dsl connection speed for which I was being billed; after contacting the company, BellSouth, the problem was resolved. They even pro-rated the lack of proper service by giving me the deluxe speed @ lite speed cost for 6 mths. However, the faster service didn't seem to last for long, and I was again [i][u]waiting for each page do download.

A long statement just to ask, how would I be able to tell my exact speed. In the process of determinng my current speed, their techs had me type a simple URL (?), like "speed...;" I can't recall! Do you have any idea what I'm talking about?
