i have been having problems with almost every game there is for quite some time now with lag, though the lag comes in waves, its fine at first and then massive lag comes, stops and back again e.c.t

i noticed these problems with HL2 to begin with then it just kept coming with most games apart from WoW and Cabal...
anyone have any idea how to fix this please do post how to fix it
