I have a Desktop with XP, Laptop with Vista.
Both are on the same workgroup & IP subnet and I have installed the LLTP patch for XP. Both have the exact same firewall, the network has been "trusted" and each computer is trusted by MAC address.
On the desktop, I can't see "Laptop" in "Workgroup Computers", but when I try \\laptop, it opens and I can see all the shares.
On the laptop I can see "Desktop" in the "Network View" but if I try to click it, or use \\desktop I get a message saying it is inaccessible. Then if I go to a specific share "\\desktop\share1", I can get to it fine.
I'd prefer to be able to get directly to \\desktop and be able to brosw the shares instead of having to remember specific paths. Anything else I can try?
