The mainboard is most likely dead it is possible that the cpu that was in it over heated and caused somthing on the board to fail,it could be something in the power circiut or one of the chipsets has been damaged,your best bet would be to get another board since repairing the board could be quite exspensive,i have come across a few boards with dead cpu's and the mainboards did not work when tested with good cpu's.
