I understand what he is saying. I am having the same problem with a cp of my own. The ip address is saying 169. The only weird thing is that I have my settings set to automatic. I am still having trouble. My ISP is Time Warner Cable, I have a belkin Router, and a Motorola Modem. The exact model #'s I am not sure of I am at work right now
