CMOS is the tpe of integrated circuitry that your BIOS is stored in. To clear CMOS, either follow the instructions in your motherboard manual, or if you haven't got that, remove the CMOS battery. First, you will need to remove any static from yourself by touching something that is earthed, like a radiator. Remove the case and look for a shiny disc about 1" in diameter on your motherboard. It will most likely be held in with a spring clip. Remove it and leave it out for about twenty minutes. Then replace it and restart your machine.
