Hmm, now I have another problem. The IDE slot on the motherboard does not seem to match the old IDE drive and cable. The motherboard is a foxconn G33M02. I don't have access to the computer right now, but is it possible that there is a different IDE specification or something? The drive is a standard 40pin connector, and it is too wide to fit into the IDE slot. Am I missing something?
