i don't know about spyware blaster because i have never used it, but as for spybot, i don't think you can get an icon in the task bar. the best you can do is an icon on the desktop. tea timer is a part of spybot. it provides real-time protection of some kind. i don't even know if there's a tray icon (i think that's what you mean by taskbar) if you run tea timer.
if you don't have an icon on the desktop, and spybot is not listed in your programs, then maybe your installation is corrupt.
