As for error messages there are none, it goes straight from motherboard display screen to asking for a bootable media. I do remember going into the bios to have a look for the problem and the HD not being listed as being detected.

How would I check the CMOS clear switch (never encountered it before so I have no clue what I'm looking for :p)

On a side note; could it be possibly be a problem that I might not have my S-ATA HD installed correctly. I wonder this because during installation of XP I didn't install any drivers for my HD, due to my own ignorance of the fact they are(?) needed.
