Hi again,

UBCD has Hard disk diagnostic tools... try the diagnostic tool matching your HDD brand. Run the diagnostic, I believe it should tell you something.

I sent you PM on how to clear out the drive. I suggest you run diags first and try to reformat using XP or Knoppix live CD if still this do not work ( probably HDD is shot already), then try the tutorial.
