laptop upgrade

Okay heres is my question: What can i do to completely erase a laptop see my girlfriend has had a this laptop for about 3 yrs and it has became slow so for valentines day im going to upgrade the processor and add a gig of ram and upgrade the graphic card to a nvidia 5600 my only problem is i dont know what i can do to completely erase everything I have the programs to install everything back on but i want the laptop to go back to like it was when she first got it. It was fast when she first got it now its a little slow Somebody told me to deband it but im not sure thats the right action

please help
