as both you and speedster have pointed out - mixture of ram is not recommend, but refering to my mobo manual it claims to be able to use two different kinds of ram in the 4 sockets (2 of the sockets are blue =2x twinmos, 2 are black= 1gb corsair valu, the exact same as the one im gonna buy).

as to dobys last reply: does it get fster to unpack .zip-files etc, and do the programs open and run faster eith more ram? Secondly, what is high end games? is it newer games like oblivion, crysis etc?
