serious raid problems

Here is my problem. I have reflashed the bios and am trying to do a raid 0 on with the intel chipset on a p4p800e deluxe. the drives are 2 western digital 120 sata drives. I can and have ran them in an array on the promise controller. And they work fine. If i try to run them on the intel the raid bios wont boot and just sits there. when i reboot it just goes through post and reboots. Also i think that this is related. When I install the primary ide drivers of the disk my dvd burner freaks out and I get bad burns.
So I reflashed the bios back to 1002 to reflash the ic5r chip. and to no avail.
Please help
