Re: Vista driver issues

No problems in the Device Manager in safe mode--

I uninstalled the usb tree, rebooted twice. Vista asked to reinstall my usb tree, but then (SURPRISE!), it couldn't find the correct driver software. So now the usb root hubs are no longer installed, windows is banging its head against the wall asking me what it should do, and now for certain nothing is going to work in those ports unless I can find the motherboard usb drivers online and get Vista to recognize them. Considering it won't recognize any of the other drivers I point it at, this does not seem likely to work.

Could there be a bios setting or something that is stopping the computer from recognizing/installing drivers? Unless someone can pull some magic out or suggest a way to resolve this, I am going to have to return the unit.
