John, because this will be an article in its own right, perhaps we should start a new thread - I will need assistance from you and probably Matt

I know nowt about clocking and internal measurements and before I do the lapping, i will need to be able to definitive measurements before & after

Should we do the preliminary research and draft work as PMs or Emails or what (I don't mind giving my email addy in a PM if anyone wants to give input)
