This is the other "bill" here. there are some other things you can try. Get a Windows 9x setup disk, disconnect (physically) the 6 GB disk from the system and boot from the floppy disk. Run the FDISK command and there should be only ONE hard drive listed. If it is listed then partition the drive the way you want.

There are preconfigured bootdisks for all operating systems there. Just get a blank floppy and run the downloaded file. It should make a bootable floppy disk for you.
