Hi and welcome to TSF, I need to ask what other hardware devices do you have and how are they installed on the computer(IDE or SATA). How many IDE connectors does the motherboard have and how many devices are on a single IDE ribbon? Anything SATA is alway a master. Check in the bios to verify that the SATA connectors are enabled. Set the SATA type to native IDE. Give this a try and I hope this helps, Mike
