lol exactly, i'm not on wireless tho, i have a standard ADSL wired modem.
The 1st modem i had was a Sagem F@st 800 which when i got a new PC with vista, wasnt vista compatable apparently, so they sent me a 2nd modem (This took over 5days to arrive) in the mean time i found a compatable vista driver for the sagem.

http://www.broadbandchoices.co.uk/speed-test.asp - If u register with this site, u can download a stand alone speed checker that will allow you to check ur speeds from hourly, daily weekly ect.. and keep records in a CSV file
http://www.speedtest.net/ - Dont depend on the location as this 1 says i'm 50 miles from London where i live 170miles (in a straight line) from london lol, but good test all the same
http://www.freespeedtest.com/ - This is good simple checker doing 3 seperate tests (if the line aint too slow)
Bookmark all these & you'll be able to prove Tiscali wrong time & time again lol, good luck
