Buy a new laptop! (or refurbished) I got a 17" for under 500 bucks and it works awesome.

If thats not possible, go to Dell.com and technical support- chat.

I'm sure they could send you the manual on how to do repairs (and how to take parts off)

I'd bet you could take the monitor part off... good luck
