Delta 8 - All in one residential network

Hi - A newbie here and posting a question as a result of purchasing a newly built house with the Delta 8 all in one residential network system by Schneider Electric installed by my house builder. My question, I hope, will be fairly simple:-

The Delta 8 unit delivers an all in one TV, Phone and Internet via one single cable (Cat5) to every outlet in my new house. In order to get my broadband connection I have been told by the installers to connect the ADSL filter and 4 port ethernet modem/router with the core unit under the stairs where it is located.

Now, I have also been told that I can use any of the RJ45 outlet sockets in the room for either TV, Phone or internet and can use more than one computer at a time on separate sockets in the house.

My question is this, how do I connect my phone and laptop for internet use to the one outlet in the wall as at the moment I can only use one or the other. My installer has told me that I could buy a Lexcom 3-way data splitter for £40 to achieve this! I think this is a rip off when all I want is the outlet to give me the phone and internet use at the same time.

So, I've been browsing the web and came across a UTP port doubler for voice and data -

http://www.shoppingcentre.net/shop/p...rt-p-2372.html

which I think may do the trick for a cheaper price of £8.99. However, the website claims I need two of these one for the patch panel ( i am assuming this means the Delta 8 core unit) and one for the wall outlet. This doesn't make much sense to me as the Lexcom 3-way data splitter is only required on the wall outlet and nothing is said about that having to be also connected to the patch panel. So perhaps I only need one UTP port doubler for the outlet wall only??

Has anyone else had a similar experience or can anyone confirm whether I can just get the one port doubler and connect to the outlet wall in order to use my phone and internet at the same time?

Many thanks!
