Hi,

You have to format a new drive before it's visible in "My computer".

To do that - Open Disk management in XP:
Right click "My computer" > choose "Manage" > Disk Management.

In disk management > Right click the new drive > choose "New partition" in the menu and follow the wizard that will start.
