well then, it sounds as if you are in good shape and ready to proceed


I would use the data lifeguard bootable media to "write zeros" to your 200 gig drive >>>>> this procedure will fully wipe/erase your hard drive at each and every sector on the hard drive, just like the day it was new in the box.

just formatting a hard drive does not do this type of preparation.

after "zeroing" the drive you will need to partition the drive (even if you want just one big chunk" that still requires a partition. also format the drive / always NTFS !

then use the image restore if necessary, i would prefer a clean install myself if your image allows coping from it, you could then import your individual data needs from the virtual drive of the image.
