Re: A Disk Read Error has occurred

Sluggo; you got alot of "things" going on here. you need to give us some parameters from which to proceed

A) do you need data off these drives ?

B) do you have acess to a computer that works without involving the WD drives ???

C) you need to upgrade your windows OS cd or floppies to service pack 2 or later for the Win XP version and the Win2k needs Service pack 4 / then you can get by the 137 gig OS barrier >>>>> we can tell you how to accomplish this task with slipstreaming if you have access to a cd rom or dvd rom drive, blank disks and a burning program ?

D) I highly suggest a plan of data back-up with images to an external drive / then wipe and erase the drive / then restore the image

my favorite image program (free one) is drive image XML
http://www.runtime.org/dixml.htm

and it sure as hell doesnt take any 6 hours to image or restore a 200 gig drive with that program / thank god >>>>>> I make images once per week of both boot drives

D)
