Custom cursors don't automaticly load

I have some custom cursors (actually, that I created and am quite proud of) that refuse to load on Vista startup.

The odd thing is that if I go into my Mouse->pointers section, it displays that all of them are set up. If I press 'ok', the cursors change. What's stranger is that 'apply' is greyed out. It's as though the system thinks that the cursors are already loaded, when instead, the standard Vista cursor scheme loads.

I have never heard of anything like this before, and frankly, I'm totally stumped as to why this is happening.

In a flash of brilliance, I've decided to check the Registry, but if anyone knows what the answer to this odd problem is, your help is greatly appreciated

Thank you (and Merry Christmas)

Ok, so I found something in the Registry in
Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Control Panel/Cursors/Default
But I'm gonna be honest. I'm kind of nervous to change all of the default values for the cursors...

Ok, i'm gonna export the key for saftey's sake. If anyone knows a better way to fix this, I'm all ears.

Thanks again
KFJ
