my hp pavilion dv 9500 and vista...

Hi, my specs are this

2gigs of ram
1.50ghz centrino duo processor
nvida 8600 gs video card 256mb

this laptop cost 1,400$ and was built as a "entertainment" laptop, yet I had to tweak the hell out of it just to barley run CS source 60 fps+ which seems extremely rare for the specs its given. Although the 1.50 ghz is pretty low (what a rip off for a 1,400$ laptop).

Anyway I seemed to tweak it (basically turned off all the good stuff in my nvida control panel) and i can run counter strike source 60 fps+ but 10-15mins into the game my fps drops horribly!

I mean i go from 60+ to 5-15 fps in just seconds. I have no idea what is causing this but i don't think its my system specs because if i can obviously stay at 60+ fps for awhile without issues and it drops it doesn't seem like its teh computers fault.

So i've turned off the scheduler for the disk defrag in vista and i even turned off the new thing they got where it searches for wireless connection every 60 seconds to make sure its still connecting.

But now when i play games it seems to be getting worse, the laptop gets hot playing games pretty quick i have it on high performance in the power settings so thats not it.

Whats wrong, what else can i change? I can run some graphic games on high settings no problems then boom the big fps drops comes and i don't know what causes it. Lowering the graphic details doesn't fix it either.

anyone have any idea?
