I had seen it before, but first started using it regularly after Geekgirl posted this:

Security Risks from unpatched media players...Are you at Risk?

I get emails from them once or twice a month, run the scan, and update any apps it finds. Firefox and Opera are usually current, as they have the update feature built-in to the browser. MS could learn something (more) from them in that regard.
