Re: Continuous "security alert" messages, leads to website virprotect.com. Remove ple

That's not as bad as it might seem. Many of those finds are in System Restore points, safe for now, and we'll remove them later.

Go to My Computer->Tools->Folder Options->View tab:
* Under the Hidden files and folders heading, select Show hidden files and folders.
* Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option.
* Also make sure there is no checkmark beside Hide file extensions for known file types
* Click Yes to confirm and then click OK.

Go to Start>Run then copy and paste, or type the following, then press Enter:

regsvr32 /u occache.dll

Click OK on the message which pops up.

Delete these files//folders if present:

C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded Program Files\popcaploader.dll

Go to Start>Run then copy and paste, or type the following, then press Enter:

regsvr32 occache.dll

Click OK on the message which pops up.

Let me know how your system is behaving, and I'll know better how to proceed.
