[SOLVED] Gaming FPS Problems

I am having trouble with FPS in games that I am playing now. My system is the following:

CPU Case: HP Pavilion Laptop with Targus Cooling Pad
Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce 7600 GoSeries
Processor: Intel Centrino Duo 1.87 ghz 2MB cache 533 FSB
RAM: 2GB Ram 667 DIMMS
OS: Windows Vista Home Premium
Hard Drive: 120GB (don't know brand, pre-built laptop) NTFS File System

Normally I run around 60-100 FPS constand in CounterStrike: Source. Recently, I have been running around 10-50 with 40 FPS less on the video stress test. I have run a virus scan, which came up clean. I also tried reinstalling the game, and it still didn't fix the problem. Its not only CS:S, but also in WoW I get major FPS spikes around 2 or 3. Thanks for your help in advance.
