EDIT: on last post, the internet explorer error message is actually:

"Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

and the options are don't send, or send.

again, it seems unrelated to the problem as there is no correlation between the netwrok connectivity and this error appearing.
