as for the error messages, i recieve internet explorer's "the page cannot be displayed." when checking network connections in control panel, under activity, bytes are being sent, but none recieved. clicking on repair under the support tab, the repairs are stuck on renewing ip address for a few minutes or until i cancel, which it then says it could not "complete the following tasks: repair ip address. Please contact service provider" and notifies me of low connectivity.

the "LAN cable has been unplugged" message flashes on, and then leaves, with a low connectivity report from network connections. Considering this, i feel the problem may be from the cable itself?

after the rare unexpected reboot of the computer, i get
"the system has recovered from a serious error" and informs me to sends an error report in the box below.

the internet explorer is the typical :
"this program is not responding"
and gives me the options "end now" and "cancel"
irreguardless of which i choose, it will close after a few seconds of being open.
however, it seems unrelated to the problem.
